COMPARATIVE TEST AIR FILTERS

The Welsh Swansea University, which for the Faculty of Engineering teaches a course applied to motorcycles, wanted to test the most famous air filters on the  AfterMarket, checking with a flushing SuperFlow bench the performance of each individual filter. The test was organized in a simple but effective way: a square pipe 95 x 95 mm. It was sealed from one side with the various filter elements and through which was passed (and measured) the air flow. This chart contains the measured curves.
It’s clear the distribution of curves: Sprint Filter Polyester is very detached from the cotton filter group (among whom, however, is very well positioned in the Sprint Filter Water Proof polyester), at the bottom of the chart are positioned filters terry.

The filter elements were then checked under a microscope to verify the structure: also in this case the uniformity and compactness of the polyester are evident.
